Monday, November 29th

WE GOT A COURT DATE!

mood: Ecstatic

We have received our court date!

We are completely shocked because it is for December 24th!!!
We had been planning for January and didn't think there was any chance we would make it there in December! So that makes it close to 3 weeks until we have to leave!

There is so much to do!
Needless to say, we are very excited, and are working on trying to get travel arrangements and Visas...


It's going to be a great Christmas... in Russia!

Wednesday, November 17th

Updated Measurements!!

mood: Excited

Well, we received updated measurements for Lidia today!

She has not grown a lot, but she is growing!

Here is a comparison of the last measurements we received (while in Russia) and the new:

July 25, 2004

Weight: 7300 g (16.1 lb)
Height: 63.5 cm (25 in)
Head circumference: 41cm (16.1 in)
Chest circumference: 43 cm (16.9 in)

October 25, 2004

Weight: 7800 g (17.2 lb)
Height: 67 cm (26.4 in)
Head circumference: 43.5 cm (17.1 in)
Chest circumference: 44 cm (17.3 in)

so all told, she gained just over a pound and grew about 1.4 inches in height.
We are so glad to know she is growing, even if slowly smile
We cannot wait to get back to her, though!

Tuesday, November 9th

Happy News


Iended up calling the agency later yesterday and found out we are being filed to court today the 9th!! We will certainly know our court date now sometime before the end of november.

It's going to be in January but we are close now!!

Lots of happy news for other friends though. One set got their court date and another just got their referral yesterday!!

So our next big post should be when we know our court date!

Monday, November 8th

Still No News

mood: down

Well, here we are and still no news. Last we heard, we were waiting for some signatures for Lidia's medical. Once that is done, we can be filed to the court. Well, that was 2 weeks ago and still nothing sad
I'm am trying to keep my chin up, but the closer it gets to Christmas, the harder it is. The thought of waiting another 2 months or more is excrutiating.
