Well we hoped it would happen quickly but I think we've exceeded our best hopes.
We got the referral in only a month and a half (we were hoping 2months and thinking that optimistic!). She is a wonderful beautiful infant girl and we can't wait to meet her.
It's only 2 weeks now until we go so we are having to take of a bunch of stuff before we go. We have our flights now (around 24 hours of actual flying, that on the way there will seem like 40 or so because of timezones adn only seem like 8 on the way back, talk about jetlag, Khab is 16 timezones ahead of us!). This first trip is just a short one (we'll be in khab for only 3 and a half days) but we'll get to visit each day we are there. We also have a day and a half layover in moscow so we'll probably do a bit of sight seeing while we are there.
There is a small chance we might get to meet up with another couple in DC who will just be returning (they are going the week before us) but we'll have to see if it will work out. Their flight is getting back into DC a few hours before ours leaves from DC and we should be in the same gate area (possibly even the same plane).
We are starting to get stuff together for the baby room too. We have picked out a crib and will be picking it up tonight, we'll post some pictures once we have it setup. Once we are back we'll have 2 months or so to get everything set before we go back.
Wow this is going to be a big trip, really meeting our daughter for the first time, it's really hard to imagine. And traveling almost 2/3 of the way around the world to do it!
After we are back we'll have lots of pictures to post and then the really really really hard wait begins. We'll have met her and know she's there and know she's ours and not be able to get her until our court date. We'll just have to keep busy. Crystal wants to get the living room painted before that second trip (it will be harder to do anytime soon after we have her back) so we'll probably do that which will help take up some time.
Well enough babbling for now, for those reading we'll probably do updates while we are over there as we'll have internet access.
